Grant launches new Uflex Underfloor Heating

To ensure the continuous development of our innovative, efficient and reliable heating solutions, we have recently launched our newest heat emitter – Uflex Underfloor Heating.

Adding to our existing range of modern heat emitters including the Grant Afinia aluminium radiators and Grant Solo fan convector radiators, our Uflex underfloor heating offering is a viable option for a wide range of projects, from one-off new builds and room extensions through to larger multi-property developments.

Our Uflex system offers convenient and highly efficient heating, especially when paired with a heat source like the Grant Aerona3 R32 air source heat pump. The pipework is installed during the initial stages of the property’s development, therefore causing no delay times in terms of drying. The pipes are positioned and clipped into place once the flooring’s insulation and membrane has been fitted, after which a flow screed is laid over the top of this and allowed to fully dry before heat is introduced.

The Uflex system also includes the supply of self-adhesive edging strip which is located around the surrounds of the area in which the screed is laid. This strip also comes with a unique ‘skirt’ design which provides an overhang which curves alongside the wall. This edging strip not only contains and seals the screed, it also serves to reduce heat loss where the floor meets the walls and allows for the expansion of the floor. As the system is designed for continuous operation with heat being supplied through the screed all day, this also means that the screed acts as a thermal store.

In addition to the mechanical components such as pipework and manifolds, we also supply the necessary controls to operate the underfloor heating system as efficiently as possible with the touch of a button. Controls can be set to provide different room temperatures and different time intervals on individual heating zones, with a wireless option also available.

Think Heating. Think Grant.
