Consumer Home Heating Guides Launched

To advise homeowners on the options available for their home heating systems and to support installers’ communications with customers, we have developed home heating guides for those building a new home or upgrading their heating system.

‘Your Guide to Heating Your New Build Home’ outlines our Free Home Heating Design Process and how to avail of this and ensure compliance on all heating requirements. An insight is also given into our wide range of sustainable heating technologies, engaging with an installer, commissioning the system and aftercare service.

A focal point of our new build home heating guide is the importance of ensuring that room by room heat loss calculations in line with SR:50 guidelines are carried out properly, which informs the sizing and specification of the bespoke heating system.

With heating requirements varying significantly depending on the house and the needs of the homeowner, we have also developed ‘Your Guide to Upgrading Your Home Heating’. This guide recognises that many Irish homes are simply in need of an upgrade to their existing heating system, and outlines what to consider when upgrading and the options available.

Focusing on the benefits of upgrading an old boiler to a Grant Vortex condensing oil boiler and what to consider if thinking of installing renewable technologies, this guide also outlines options for underfloor heating and radiators as part of the heating system upgrade.

At Grant we develop our products with the installer in mind, ensuring simple installations and our team is here to help architects, engineers, builders, BERs, technical advisors and installers save time with our home heating design service and provide peace of mind by helping to ensure compliance on all heating requirements.
